Jim - Project Manager / Co-Owner
Jim brings his diverse experience to his work with JM Marine Enterprises, and takes great pride in that work. His thoroughness, attention to detail, and analytic approach make him a natural trouble-shooter. His well-rounded background allows him to understand and handle the many aspects of a project, allowing him to come up with solutions that others wouldn't think off.
His grandfather, a Norwegian immigrant, owned Princess Point Marina in Staten Island, giving Jim early first hand observation of the field. Growing up in an environment of avid boaters instilled a love of the water in Jim
Jim's knowledge of construction, building and repair were also fostered by his family. His father was architect who designed the summer cottage that he and Jim would later build together.
He worked many years in his uncle's construction company, where he concentrated on historical renovation and construction. Major projects included Batsto Village, Double Trouble State Park, and the Cornelius Low House.
After years of additional experience working with safety and control systems, his focus switched to electronics, performing security installations for a major international firm. Channeling his diverse background into the yachting industry, Jim started JM Marine Enterprises with his wife Jamie in 2008.
